How you can help

All of the funding provided by the charity is made possible thanks to the amazing support we received from the local community and local companies and trusts. This support has been invaluable in helping the charity to continue to meet and adapt to the needs of the hospice teams and patients.

Gradually over time the financial support required from the charity has steadily increase. We estimate at present that the charity is helping to fund in the region of 28% of the overall running costs of the hospice service.

In 2010-11 the charity will be funding near to £1 million to help the hospice. Without the continuing support from the public, this will not be possible.

The support we receive from the public comes through donations, including those made in the memory of those who have died, legacies left in Wills, the profits from members who play our lottery, donations from companies who fundraise or who have chosen us as their Charity of the Year, grants from Trusts and all of the fabulous support we get from people attending our events.

Each year as the charities support into the hospice increases we have to find new ways of reaching these ever increasing targets. Your support is what will help make this possible and we, the hospice staff and all of the patients and families the hospice cares for thank you.
